Bailey Girl.

Lately our life has been consumed with our Bailey girl. She keeps us busy every minute of the day. This is the first time I am experiencing a puppy....and I have to say she surprises me everyday.....between eating base boards and thinking she is a lap dog. We get pretty tired.....but we love her.

She has a pretty funny personalty. She loves to cuddle, follows you every where, and is constantly licking my toes.

The thing I love most about her....is her different hair styles..... We have floppy ears.

She walks around with her ears like this all he time! But most of all I love when she does this at the end of the day

Because I get to watch TV without distractions!

The Kitchen

The kitchen is my favorite room of any house. I just love kitchens. I spend alot of time in ours everyday....so I get alittle obsessed with kitchen decor and kitchen stuff. So here is our kitchen. :)

And that is Bailey sleeping on the floor....That is her favorite spot to sleep when I am cooking.

This is my favorite part of the kitchen. I love cow creamers. I think they are adorable!

Here is my other favorite part of the kitchen. The cow is from my mom. She made it and has had it in her kitchen since I can remember. When we bought the house. They gave it to Jeff and I......I think I am going to start calling the cow bertha......It just fits lol.

The apple picture was cross stich by my Grandma Buchanan. The black and white photo is my favorite picture of my Grandma Buchanan.

We wanted a Island in the kitchen and bought one....but we didn't think it looked right. So it fit perfectly on this empty wall....When we put it there we figured she would figure out a way to make is a island....but I think we are just going to keep it the way it is. What do you think?

The Man Cave

When Jeff and I first saw this house we loved that it had a den. We really didn't have use for a normal den.....so we decided to make it the man cave/entertainment room. I am sure glad we did it. Its kind of nice to have the "Fancy" room for guest and the "Comfy" room for us. So of course in DeMoss fashion we made it a Notre Dame themed room.

It was alittle hard to pick paint colors. There are so many to choose from and you only get to pick one! I was pushing more of a green and Jeff kept pushing for a blue. Being me I talked him into the green. But we both still were not in love with the color. I was searching the Internet one day and came across a blue that I just loved.....and had to put my tail between my legs, text Jeff and once again tell him " Yes babe you are right"

So here is the room. It is a work in progress.....but cough! hint hint....if anyone feels the urge to buy us a gift, We are collecting Notre Dame stuff to cover the walls in this room!....I'm just kidding you don't have to get us a gift....well maybe I'm just kidding alittle bit....anyways here it is!

We had the people that build the house install the surround sound in the wall.....so those three white squares above the T.V. are speakers. Jeff likes to turn it most of the way up and shake the whole house.....it is pretty intense to watch a movie in there!

Here are the chairs.....I did not want these chairs in the beginning.....but once again Jeff was right and I think they look awesome!

Lesson learned....Maybe I really should listen to my hubby ;)

Holiday Wreaths

My mom, sister and I used to have girl days all the time...since my sister and I got married we haven't had them as often. So we decided to make holiday wreaths for every holiday....and we get together and buy the stuff, make it and of course chat and laugh. We had a great time this last time. The first wreath I made was a Notre Dame football wreath. Since Jeff and I are huge Notre dame fans....I figure why not celebrate football season!

This month we watch conference and made a Halloween one.

 

I think they turned out pretty cute.....cant wait to make a Fall one! I think it is a good excuse for a girls day!

Snapdoodle.

This is one of my families all time favorite recipe. We grew up eating this breakfast on special days and holidays. Since I grew up in a big family my mom would make a huge pan of it....we would try to be the first in line so we could choose the most gooey piece! Since I have married Jeff I haven't had it as much since he is not a cinnamon lover like I am. But I plan on making this on the holidays for our children when daddy is at work....I don't think he will mind. So I figured I would share the recipe......Oh if you are wondering....I have no idea why we call is snapdoodle....but its kind of fun to say.

Snapdoodle

2 Eggs
1 C Sugar
3 C Milk
4 C Flour
4 tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of salt
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon
about a stick of butter :)

- Mix Eggs and Sugar.
- Add flour, milk, baking powder and salt to egg mixture.
- Stir until combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x13 greased pan.
- Put a 1/4 inch layer of brown sugar cross the whole top off batter.
- Dot with butter.....You don't have to cover the whole top with butter....but you don't want to skimp on it either.
-Sprinkle with cinnamon
-Bake at 350* for about 30 mins.

This is not healthy by any means....but it is worth it!
