Three Months

Dear Jackson,

  Wow how time flys. It seems like you were just born.....You had your first cold this month....it was very sad for your Dad and I to watch you cough and sneeze, but you were a trooper and continued to smile through the whole thing. We took you to the doctor to see if you were ok and we found out you are 16 pounds! Almost twice your birth weight! :) We are so happy you are growing and are so healthy.

You have discovered your hands this month. You love to put them in your mouth and you even try to shove both fists in at once!

You love to kick in the tub....by the end of bath time you don't have allot of water left....and both of us are all wet!

You love to be sung to. You love the 4 little ducks song. You always smile and get excited for the Mama Duck part.

You love to sit up and watch everything that is going on....you also like to talk to the ceiling fans and air vents.

You had your first Thanksgiving this month. We are so thankful for you!

You sleep in your crib and like to lay flat! We are very excited about this.

You wake up once a night now. secretly your mom loves it because you like to be cuddled after you eat....and she sits and just stares at you, you are her miracle.

You love to stand, we set up your bouncer and you love to get that thing bouncing!

You never stop cooing. You love to tell us long stories.

You love to watch football.....we always cheer on Notre Dame with dad.

We are so excited to show you new things and watch you grow. Life was not complete until you came. We love you

Two Months.

Dear Jackson,

This month has flown by. You have grown so much and have started to do so many new things!

You love to smile! and when you do...it melts your Mom and Dads heart. I think we are in trouble.

You love to talk to us all the time.....you have the sweetest coo.

You make your Mom and Dad laugh all the time with all your silly faces.

You are a master at getting out of your swaddle! 

Mom had to go back to work this month. But no worries your Grandma Vicki and Aunt Rachel have taken good care of you. Your cousins Sophie and Lydia just think you are the greatest. They help take care of you too.....

You love to hang out on your play mat and look at all your toys.

You sleep through the night! We are so grateful we are all sleeping.

When you were in Moms tummy she would always sing Adelle songs on the way to work. When you are crying in the car your mom puts it on and you go right to sleep.....shhhh don't tell your dad you are a Adelle fan :)

Your Dad did your blessing this month. You were perfect that day,

We are having so much fun with you. You are such a joy! We love you so much!

Pictures

Trying to take Jackson's monthly pictures is pretty crazy. I try to get the perfect shot. So pretty much I make every noise in the world to get him to smile, as I try to shove our 80 pound dog Bailey out of the way.  Two things I have discovered. 

1.  My son hates his picture taken and refuses to smile.

2. My dog only listens to me when she wants too.

So here are some pic of our photo shoot.

Jackson's Blessing

October 14 Our little Jackson received his blessing. It was such a beautiful day. It was almost like he knew how special it was. He was a perfect angel throughout the whole thing. The day was full of joy and laughter, family and friends. 

I loved picking out what he was going to wear.....I wanted him to be in the traditional white...but not the satin outfit. So thanks to my mom he look adorable in this......My mom made everything but the sweater (she even made the blanket he is laying on) I loved everything about the outfit and I thought he looked adorable.

Jeff tried to get him to smile....

But it didn't work.....

Jeff gave a beautiful blessing....then we came home and shared some yummy food with everyone. It was such a special day for us.....my favorite part was watching Jeff gazing at our son as he slept peacefully in his arms after his blessing. I am so lucky to have my little family.

One Month

Dear Jackson,

 This first month with you has been such a blessing in our lives. There are so many emotions that we have felt. Such happiness and love we never knew we could ever feel. Your dad and I just love to stare at you when you are sleeping....or laugh at all the cute faces and noises you make. 

Bailey even thinks you are the greatest thing. She loves to sleep next to your bassinet. She has to be right there during bath time and she always has to make sure you are ok when you start crying.....We are sorry when she licks your feet....we try to catch her before she does it....but she just loves you so much. 

You LOVE bath time, your favorite part is getting your hair washed.

You love to be sung to. "You Are My Sunshine" "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and "I Stand All Amazed" are your favorite songs. (Sorry about the last one, your Mom needs to learn some more songs...so she starts singing church hymns)

You love car rides, they put you right to sleep

You are a very impatient eater and you love to growl when you eat. Your Dad and I call you a little goat. You always make a goat sound when you are hungry.

You hate your crib.......your beautiful crib! But that's ok....your mom isn't ready for you not to be in the same room with her.

You have to sleep with a hat on. You cry until we put it on.

You only wake up twice a night...which you mom appreciates a lot. 

You love to lay on your dads tummy. You are so strong that you can even sometimes lift your head to watch him talk to you.

You love to sit in your bouncy seat and stare at all your toys.

The first words your mom said to you was "We have waited for you for so long. You are so beautiful." and its true...you were so worth the wait. You have brought so much joy to our family. We love you so much! Happy one month....

We are excited for the many more we get to be with you.
