6 Months Old

Dear Jackson,

 This month you have overwhelmed us with all the new things you can do! It is amazing to us how fast you grow.

You love baby food, You can't get enough of it. Sweet potatoes are your favorite. We did sadly find out that you are allergic to peas.

You found your toes. You love to grab them and try to eat them

      You can grab toys now. You love to put everything in your mouth.

one your tummy you can scoot to get a toy.

You are so silly. You love to make us laugh.

You love Bailey. You get so excited to see her, you also try to eat her.

You suck on your bottom lip,  we think it makes you look like a old man.

You got to see snow for the first time....Your mom was more excited then you.

You do this funny dance when you get excited. You tilt your head to one side and shake your body.

You have to sleep with a soft blanket....you snuggle up right to it....but as soon as your fall sleep...we sneak in and take it out. You have gotten mad at your mom a few times.

You have a fake smile that you do sometimes, it makes us laugh

This was your last month going to Aunt Rachel's while Mom was at work. Mom gets to stay home with you now, She is so excited to help you learn and watch you grow.

Notre Dame

College football started just after we brought Jackson home.

He has spent many Saturday's watching Notre Dame with his dad. 

Notre Dame made it to the play offs!  We were so excited that we had a little family party. Even Bailey joined in......

We think Jackson is the cutest Notre Dame fan that we have ever seen!

5 Months Old

Dear Jackson,

You are becoming one silly little boy, I love that you can finally show us your personality!

This month you have had to go to Physical Therapy. You have a tight neck on one side. So we have to do lots of stretches, so you can do many more things. Guess what!? you have done amazing. You are now able to roll to you side like a pro!

You got to try Cereal for the first time this month.....you liked it.... but you were not very interested in eating it. You sure did like to play in it though.

You love soft blankets.....you can not snuggle with out one

You are getting better at tummy time everyday. You still love to complain about it sometimes.

You have discovered hair. You are always trying too grab and eat mine, you are very sneaky.

You love to laugh. We always tickle you to hear it. Sorry, it is a selfish torture 

You had your first Ear infection this month. We both felt so bad for you!

You love to give sloppy kisses. We just say kisses and you give us the sweetest kiss!

You are such a joy to us, We can't wait to discover what is coming next.

4 Months Old

Dear Jackson,

I cant even begin to tell you how fast you grow. You have learned how to do so much this month.

 

You try so hard to sit up. Your Dad and I cant help but to laugh....it looks like you are doing little sit ups. You try so hard that you grunt and your face gets all red. You love to sit up when we help you...We count to three and sit you up. Your face is priceless when we say three.

 

 

You have many nick names. Your Mom calls you Mr. and little man. Your Dad calls you Partner and buddy. Some other nicknames are Chunka Munk, J Bear and Baby Jackson.

 

You love to laugh....and when you are not being serious, you are full of smiles!

 

 You can roll onto your side and blow lots of raspberries....that makes everyone laugh.

 

You have finally discovered your toys....You like to put them in your mouth and talk to them.

You especially like tummy time now, thanks to our Ipad

 

 

You love looking at Christmas lights. The Christmas tree was your favorite.

 You have discovered your voice and sometimes surprise your self with some of the noeses you makes.

 

You love to eat your hands, you also love to eat your moms arm as she tries to change your diaper or wash your hair.

 

You love your cousins. They give you so much attention!

 

You have also finally noticed Bailey....You guys are specials buds. You let her lick your hands and you try to pet her.

 

 

 

We celebrated out first Christmas and New years together as a family. You make it so Special

 

 

This month your Mom has tried to focus more on the moments with you, and savor the special moments we have together. You are such a sweet baby. At night when I am done feeding you, you always nuzzle in alittle closer to me, I sit and watch you as you sleep. I love to do that, sometimes you will peek at me through little slits and smile up at me. You smile so much in your sleep. I love it, makes me think your Dad and I are doing it right and giving you what you need. We love you so much and wish you a

2012

This year has been a crazy year for Jeff and I. We have had so much heart ache and excitement this year. I can't believe how fast this year has flown by.

At the beginning of the year we lost Jeff's Grandpa DeMoss and My Uncle Dwight to cancer. It was all so close together and so heart breaking for the both of us. During all that going on, we found out we were pregnant for the first time after many years of infertility. We went back an forth with loss and the gain of something special.

Even though our year started with heart break, We had a great year with lots of fun.

Christmas

I just love Christmas. I love the decorations and the time with the family. It is just a joyful and spiritual time of year, very much worth celebrating.

 Jeff and I both looked forward to this year because of Jackson. Even though he had no idea what was going on. He put more Christmas spirit in my husband, who I like to call the Grinch, and over the top Christmas spirit in the Christmas fairy my self.

So here is what we did this Christmas season with our little guy.

We put Christmas lights up for the first time ever since Jeff and I have been together

We got to put up our Christmas tree for the first time in this home. (Sadley we didn't get to plug in the tree christmas morning because our Bailey ate the cord)

We got to celebrate a early Christmas with Nana and Grandpa Scott

We went to Winter Haven. It is a tradition for Jeff and I to go every year, We were very excited to take Jackson. He loved looking at all the lights.

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandpa and Grandma Millers house. My family reenacted the Nativity. Jackson was supposed to play Baby Jesus, but unfortunately he was super fussy and we had to leave early and missed out. 

Christmas morning we woke up and opened presents. Then sadly Jeff had to go to work, but Jackson and I were very grateful to share the morning with him before he had to go. 

Later that day Jackson and I headed back to Grandpa and Grandma Millers to enjoy some more family time. 

It was a wonderful Christmas season, I am so grateful to share it with Jeff and Jackson. I am one lucky girl.
