I will never forget.

I debated on sharing this story....it is very close to my heart. Then I figured why not....I share everything else. :)

As many of you know it took us 4 years the get pregnant. The doctors didn't know why...and couldn't figure out why the medication they were giving me where not working......many times I was told I need to learn patience. Even the blessing I had during our fertility treatment experience I was told that I need to be patient.....That is not what someone wants to hear when they feel like they have been waiting forever. I started to get frustrated and lost faith that this was going to be in the cards for Jeff and I.

Soon after we announced we were expecting....people would share stories of how they have been praying for us....that meant the world to Jeff and I. I can never thank all of you enough. There is one story I learned a lot from. So here it is.

I received a email from my sister in law one day on Facebook about my nephew named Logan who is eight years old.....he is amazing.....I can always count on him being excited to see me....or tell me how he feels about me. He can always bring a smile to my face.

The Email said:

Logan has been asking me about you having a baby for the past year. I told him that you wanted a baby, but that Heavenly Father has a plan. That he could pray to HF to ask for what he wanted. He broke into verbal prayer every time no matter where or what we were doing. I wanted to tell you but didn't know how. We love you and are excited for you....all of us!

Of course I just cried trying to read this to Jeff. I felt so loved and grateful to have such great family.

We went to his baptism a couple of weeks later and he told everyone that I was pregnant. I loved his excitement. In one of the talks that was given to him they were talking about prayer and that his prayers will be answered. Right as the person said that he just stated that they already have been. I went and talked to him after and being me smothered him in hugs and kisses....he just kept saying I wanted you to have a kid so bad and that he was happy and I just kept telling him I loved him and thank you.

He has been such a example to me.....he just had such great faith and he didn't even fully understand the situation....I kept asking my self Why did I doubt god? Why didn't I just have faith that it was all going to work out like Logan did.  He has taught me that I need to have faith and not doubt when things get hard. I hope that one day he will know how much this has meant to me and how much he means to me.

When I first saw you.

After we found out I was pregnant from the beautiful pink plus sign, I called the doctor that day to set up a appointment....it was scheduled for a few days later, It seemed forever away and I couldn't wait to find out how far along I was and all the stuff I should be doing.

Due to my fertility problems...the Doctor really couldn't pin point when I conceived ....because I don't have a normal cycle and my ovaries like to hoard eggs, They scheduled me for a ultrasound the next morning to see how far along I was. The thought of having to wait 24 more hours killed me....but some how I slept that night...well I kind of slept :)

That next morning I just remember Jeff and I heading to the appointment and the excitement we both had.....We both just still couldn't believe it. I just remember praying that this was actually real.

We got into the room and there was a big flat screen T.V. for us to see the little nugget on. I will never forget that first moment I saw Jackson. He was just alittle shrimp. It was instant relief for me. I looked over at Jeff and he was just staring with this huge grin on his face, I thought how lucky am I and I felt proud that I finally gave him this. Then I saw the heart beat....and it became real to me. I cried like a baby. I was 6 weeks and he had a great heart beat. Even as alittle shrimp...I thought he was the best thing ever.

A Wonderful Surprise!

Hello everyone! It has been a very long time. I have been alittle busy (As my Sister-In-Law Becca would put it) being the happiest porcelain hugger in the world!

In December Jeff and I enjoyed a very fun vacation to Chicago to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary and to Indiana for Christmas with the DeMoss family. It was a wonderful trip! Little did I know....I was pregnant the whole time!

Around New years I was feeling pretty tired and just blah. I thought it was from all the traveling and going straight back to work the day after we got home. I didn't really think anything of it. After eating Chicago style pizza and lots of other yummy stuff, I had put on a few pounds and decided that the first week of the new year....I was starting my intense workouts again! I was pretty excited and my first workout was awesome! but after, I felt sick and didn't want to eat....which is not normal for me lol

The next day I got up to get ready for work, and started washing my hair when I started to see some spots...and that's all I really remember....after I woke up on the shower floor, I was alittle freaked out and called my husband at work crying. The perk about having a paramedic husband.....is he brought his shift to come check if I was ok....oh joy....I didn't even get to finish washing my shampoo out....its just alittle embarrassing when you know the people that are coming to figure out why you passed out in the shower....well I guess I was dehydrated and got a loving yet stern lecture on how I need to drink more water. After a couple days I still wasnt feeling 100% and just wanted to sleep all the time.

One day while Jeff was at work I went to the store and thought what the heck, I will just buy a pregnancy test....I have bought a million of them before and I just take them thinking maybe this time it will be positive...but I try not to get my hopes up.... ( I think I have spent enough money on those test to equal a amount of a car. well maybe not...but pretty close.) I was planning to take it in the morning like it says and throw another $5 dollar stick in the trash.

Around 3:00am I had a wonderful nightmare....well it was actually horrible...I will spare you the details....but it was bad enough that I had to make sure I was awake....So as I lay there terrified all by myself in my dark house....waiting for the monsters in the closet to get me, I just had to go....and I didn't know how I was going to hold it until 6:00am. So I figured I would take the test really fast, see that it was negative and it would get my mind of the kidnapper that was about to get me.

As I am sitting there half asleep waiting the 3 minutes...I got impatient and looked over, and it had a big fat POSITIVE! ......I sat and stared at it....then stared at it some more....and once I realized I wasn't dreaming...and it actually did have a pink + sign. I just cried.....there I am on the John crying like a baby for a good 20 minutes. Then I thought....I need to take a picture of this! So that when I wake up I can actually see if its right, when I am not half asleep. ( Because I have read one wrong once before and went and woke Jeff up to tell him the good news when it actually was nothing...not my best moment...oops)

So at around 4:00am I tried to go back to sleep so I could get up at 6:00am and get ready for work....so I could be ready to tell Jeff when he got home from work at 7:30am. ugh....It seemed for ever away....I just layed in bed...in shock and in pure joy...and I was also kicking my self for taking that test at 3:00am!

Jeff got home around 7:30 and I was just trying to act normal, while he greeted our puppy and finally was able to greet me....I was grinning like a goon. I just couldn't help it....but he didn't even notice....I must grin like a goon all the time. He gave me a hug and I just said guess what, and he just said what....and I said I'm pregnant....he just looked at me started to smile...and kept asking me really!?....it was such a happy moment. We both just hugged each other for awhile.

I honestly thought this would never happen....We both kind of just gave up. We are so over joyed for the baby to come in September. We are also overwhelmed with all the love and the wonderful stories that everyone has shared with us. We are so thankful for all of you, that has prayed for us, and help us through these past 4 years of happiness and tears. We are excited for our new adventure, and we are so happy to share it with all of you!

Snow Day

A couple of weeks ago we had some cold weather come through the AZ and it snowed on the mountain next to Tucson. We loaded Bailey up in the back of the car and took her to the snow. Bailey loves ice cubes and water....so we thought it would be pretty fun to see if she liked it......

Well she LOVED it. She rolled in it, then started to eat all the snow she could.

I thought it would be kind of fun to throw some snow balls....and one got in her face.....She wasn't to happy
with me.......

We had a wonderful day, and I discovered I have turned into one of "Those people" that treat there puppies as babies....sigh :) I mean...how could you not...she is adorable! oh and my hubby is too!

P.S. There was no yellow snow made today.

Bailey Girl.

Lately our life has been consumed with our Bailey girl. She keeps us busy every minute of the day. This is the first time I am experiencing a puppy....and I have to say she surprises me everyday.....between eating base boards and thinking she is a lap dog. We get pretty tired.....but we love her.
She has a pretty funny personalty. She loves to cuddle, follows you every where, and is constantly licking my toes.
The thing I love most about her....is her different hair styles..... We have floppy ears.
One Ear back
And pulled all the way back

She walks around with her ears like this all he time! But most of all I love when she does this at the end of the day
Because I get to watch TV without distractions!

The Kitchen

The kitchen is my favorite room of any house. I just love kitchens. I spend alot of time in ours everyday....so I get alittle obsessed with kitchen decor and kitchen stuff. So here is our kitchen. :)

And that is Bailey sleeping on the floor....That is her favorite spot to sleep when I am cooking.

This is my favorite part of the kitchen. I love cow creamers. I think they are adorable!
Here is my other favorite part of the kitchen. The cow is from my mom. She made it and has had it in her kitchen since I can remember. When we bought the house. They gave it to Jeff and I......I think I am going to start calling the cow bertha......It just fits lol.

The apple picture was cross stich by my Grandma Buchanan. The black and white photo is my favorite picture of my Grandma Buchanan.

We wanted a Island in the kitchen and bought one....but we didn't think it looked right. So it fit perfectly on this empty wall....When we put it there we figured she would figure out a way to make is a island....but I think we are just going to keep it the way it is. What do you think?

Thank you Grandma DeMoss for painting that beautiful barn picture....I think it goes well with my odds and ends farm kitchen in the Arizona desert!

The Man Cave

When Jeff and I first saw this house we loved that it had a den. We really didn't have use for a normal den.....so we decided to make it the man cave/entertainment room. I am sure glad we did it. Its kind of nice to have the "Fancy" room for guest and the "Comfy" room for us. So of course in DeMoss fashion we made it a Notre Dame themed room.

It was alittle hard to pick paint colors. There are so many to choose from and you only get to pick one! I was pushing more of a green and Jeff kept pushing for a blue. Being me I talked him into the green. But we both still were not in love with the color. I was searching the Internet one day and came across a blue that I just loved.....and had to put my tail between my legs, text Jeff and once again tell him " Yes babe you are right"

So here is the room. It is a work in progress.....but cough! hint hint....if anyone feels the urge to buy us a gift, We are collecting Notre Dame stuff to cover the walls in this room!....I'm just kidding you don't have to get us a gift....well maybe I'm just kidding alittle bit....anyways here it is!
We had the people that build the house install the surround sound in the wall.....so those three white squares above the T.V. are speakers. Jeff likes to turn it most of the way up and shake the whole house.....it is pretty intense to watch a movie in there!
Here are the chairs.....I did not want these chairs in the beginning.....but once again Jeff was right and I think they look awesome!
Here is the view from the hallway.
Lesson learned....Maybe I really should listen to my hubby ;)
