A wonderful break.

As Most of you all know, Jeff and I have been doing fertility treatments. It has been one experience that has brought us closer together and we have both grown from.

We have decided to take a break from the treatments. They were not working and it was allot of physical and mental stress on both of us. We thought alittle break would be good for us.

My testimony of God has grown allot the past few months. I have had many wonderful and touching experiences that has help me know that he is there and he is hearing me. It is pretty amazing how he can communicate with you.

I was struggling with how I didn't know if he heard me. For a week I couldn't stop thinking about that. I was sitting in relief society. I often sit by my self. ( I like it that way lol.) We had a new teacher and she did a get to know people activity. As I'm sitting there thinking "I hate when we have to do these things." I smiled at my little group and help with the little assignment. She wanted us to pick a scripture that has had a impact in our life and if we felt like sharing we could. I'm not very good at studying the scriptures, so none jumped out at me. So to look like I was actually doing something I just opened the scriptures and for some reason I picked the middle of the page to start reading. and this was the scripture

"Waiting patiently on the lord, for your prayers have entered into the ears of the lord of the sabaoth, and are recorded with this seal and testament-the lord hath sworn and decreed that they shall be granted" D&C 98:2

This has helped me understand that he really does hear me and that he really does love me. I am truly grateful for that moment. It has helped me be more positive and understand that my prayers are important. Isn't Faith wonderful!

Fertility meds + Sarah = Embarassment.

Jeff and I have been trying to have a baby for about two years. After a year of no luck, We went to see the doctor. The doctor ran many test and put me on many meds. The doctor was unable to find out what was wrong and pretty much gave up on me. So Jeff and I decided it was time to find a new doctor and He is wonderful! He sent me to a fertility spec. and that's were we are today.

We found out I don't ovulate, and we found out that Jeff has great swimmers.....(He is very proud of this....no joke he made a announcement to my family to brag about it lol) We started off the first month....everything went really well, the meds were working and we were very hopeful....The end of the month came and we didn't luck out. We are both very positive about this whole situation and we are looking forward to starting this next month.

So the point of this post is to let everyone know what is going on and to tell you about my funny experience I have had so far on this journey. Maybe someone will get a laugh out of it ( I know my mother did :) )

I'm on my second round of fertility meds and this month had been alittle different then the last. I only got hot flashes last month ( I must say I feel sorry for older women....hot flashes are no fun)
So this month....I got the emotion of wanting to cry all the time... So cut to Me in church sitting in relief society with my sister in law Becca and her son Aiden. They asked if I could say the closing prayer and I cringed as always...I get so nervous! The lesson was on Jesus Christ. During the lesson I was mostly thinking about what I was going to say during my prayer and watching my cute nephew.
The end of the lesson comes and my heart starts to race... it was my turn to get up there and say the prayer. So I start "Our dear heavenly father"...and right then I started to sob...I mean ugly cry sob....as I'm standing there struggling to get the rest of the prayer out and thinking what is wrong with me! This is so embarrassing! It was probably the shortest prayer I have ever said....I opened my eyes and there is Becca looking at me with a huge grin and with big eyes. I just sat next to her, cryed more and said these stupid fertility meds they make me look like I'm crazy and we both laughed.

The two good things that came from this:
1. Some of the women told me that was a beautiful prayer. And thanked me.
2. I will have a good story to tell our future child what I went through to have them.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes Utah.

We took a trip with my parents and my brother mike and his family to the coral pink sand dunes in Utah. We had a blast. It took about 10 hours to drive there....but it was worth it!
Jeff rode on his bike the whole time and I got to go in the sand rail a couple of times to go take pictures.
While we were out there we took the kids and tryed to slide down the sand dunes. It was fun but sand got every where! :) My Grandpa Buchanan and Merilyn was able to come. We got to share some great stories with them! They made Marshmellow guns and we had a marshmellow fight. Got to love a family that doesnt mind shooting each other with marshmellows!
We had a great time and are very excited to plan our next trip!

Love Bug?

Jeff and I love the sand dunes! We think it is a great family activity and we love how it will be great for our future family. So we invested in a Baja Bug! We love it!

We sold our older car a few months ago, so it will be nice to have two vehicles again. Jeff will be the main person to drive it.....I will drive it when we put hot pink flames on it (which Jeff said that will never happen lol so I think I will never have to drive it :)...) So here she is......the third wife!.................

The Birthday Boy.

Jeff just had his 27th Birthday on May 6th. It had been a great year and I was excited for his birthday :) I love our birthdays. He had to work on his birthday so just him and I celebrated on the monday before with some pizza and wings!

On his birthday I was able to go have dinner at the Fire station and hang out for most of the night. Those are always fun. We consider the fire station our family, so it was great to spend it with them. We had hamburgers and all the goodies to go with it!

Jeff loves sugar cookies....so I made a huge one for his birthday. (sorry I couldnt get the picture to sit right.) He also loves Peanut Butter M&M's. So I combined the two!

We had a wonderful day! Happy Birthday baby....I love you!
