11 Months

Dear Jackson,

 I can not believe we are a month away from you turning one! Your Mom feels like she just was feeling you kick in her tummy.

You have been talking more gibberish this month, You are also very good at saying NO,NO,NO!

You got to celebrate your first 4th of July! You loved every minute of the fireworks!

You no longer sit safely in the tub, No matter how many times we try to get you to sit.

You can stand on your own! It took a lot of fruit loops for you to do it.

You favorite food is watermelon! You get excited when I put it in the cart.

 

You are such a sweet boy. You love to give kisses all the time. 

I think you give mom a heart attack everyday, You just do the craziest things!

We love that you are apart of our family

Happy 11 months little man!

10 Months

Dear Jackson,

 This month you have had allot of firsts.

You can crawl, because of that you get into everything!! 

You love to sit up so much. Mom has had to go lay you down while your in your crib, because you have fallen asleep that way

You received your helmet to fix your flat spot. You wear it like a champ! You also love to bang it on everything.

You are becoming a really good eater. You are not picky at all

You got your first hair cut!

We discovered you smile just like your dad 

You make silly faces to make us laugh

You love to hold your own bottle

You can stand all by yourself

You love walks

You also have a favorite toy. Golf clubs......you never put them down!

You can say Dada, Mama and Nana!

Our favorite is how happy you are!

9 Months!

Dear Jackson,

You are one busy little man! You learn new noises to make everyday.

You are trying so hard to crawl! You can roll to get where you need to go for now

You eat everything, and I mean everything

 We celebrated my first mothers day

and your Dads 30th Birthday

Mom gave you, your first hair cut. She needs some practice...... We had a good laugh that you looked like the guy from Dumb and Dumber....Sorry

You love to wrestle with Dad

Random Thoughts of a Stay at Home Mom.

I am going on three months at being at home full time. I have to say, some days I love it, and some days I think....WHAT ON EARTH DID I DO!!!!!

Don't get me wrong I am very blessed to be able to do this, but it is not as easy as I pictured it. The first couple of weeks were so easy, I loved every second of it. Then it started to get hard for me. Some days I would never leave the house. I had no social life. I was very guilty of not showering until 9:00 pm.  

Jeff works weird hours. He works 24 hours (7:00am-7:00am) at the fire house, then 12 hour (11:00am-11:00pm) shifts at the hospital. I would see him at midnight half asleep and for a short time in the mornings. This was very hard for us at the beginning. We have finally found a way to saver the time we all have together, and that has helped me to get out of my lonely funk. 

Thanks to my sister and my mom, they let me call them almost everyday. They patiently listen to my random stories, and my ongoing talk about how Jackson can drool. I couldn't do this without there advice and wisdom.

Even though I feel like I do laundry all day, the dishes a million times and open the back door a million times for my dog. I am very happy this is my job. I finally found a balance to take care of my family and also take care of me. 

Thank you babe for working your booty off to give me this. You are truly amazing

Mothers Day.

I got to celebrate my first real mothers day!  It was very special because I got to spend it with both my boys! That can be a very rare occasion in the DeMoss house.  Jeff works two full time Jobs! He does such a amazing job juggling that, along with being a Father and Husband.

We just relaxed and enjoyed each others company.

They got me a beautiful statue to go with the rest of my collection!

This mothers day was different for me, before I struggled with mothers day. It was a reminder that being a mother might not be in the cards for me, the way I always pictured it. That is a lot of self pity, but is also a emotion many infertile women struggle with. 

Jackson was a answer to my many prayers. Not a day goes by that I stare at him, just in awe that he even is here. He is a constant reminder that the struggles in life are worth it. That any hard ship you are going through at the time, that there is a end in sight...... whatever it might be. 

I also learned that mothers day isn't just about mothers. It is about women. It is about the women that take the little extra time helping a child. Even if it seems small to you, it can be big for that child. 

I want to say Happy Mothers day to all the women out there, You are all truly amazing. 

Thank you for all the women in my life and for all the little things you have done for me, they have been big things for me.

Thank you Jackson, for making me grow up and be the best I can be. I love you

Jackson's Nursery

We almost have Jackson's nursery done. Almost. I thought I would share what we have done. We love his nursery, Jeff wanted to do a baseball Cubs theme. Jeff painted the whole thing. He did a great job!

Jackson likes to look at all the things hanging, He also likes to try to grab the stripes on the wall.

My favorite spot, So many memories and snuggles there,

We only want to add two more things.

1. Curtains: We just have a ugly brown sheet hanging....but the good thing about it is, it blocks out all the light and makes Jackson's nap like a champ!

2. Baseball Flag: Jeff wants to make a American flag out of baseballs. its going to take over 100 baseballs. We are slowing collecting them. Anyone have any old unwanted baseballs hanging around? We would love to take them.
